Challenge

For this assignment, each student was tasked with creating their own Google Doodle. The first step was to choose a holiday as the foundation for the design. Next, a concept had to be developed that incorporated visual elements related to the chosen theme. Once the design was complete, it was implemented in code, where the animation was created and brought to life, making the Google Doodle interactive and dynamic.

Concept

For my project, I chose the holiday Scribble Day. I transformed the letters of “Google” into playful characters that embodied the theme. The letter G and the second O became a little character, with the first O animated so that the G leaned forward to draw an O on the sheet of paper the second O was holding. The L took the form of a pencil, bouncing up and down, while the e held a small sign reading “Scribble Day ♥.” This approach turned the logo into an active, storytelling scene, making the celebration of Scribble Day both interactive and visually engaging.
